Charterhall, Edinburgh - retaining wall and steps

Working with Garden Designers Red Oxide, we built the stone work in this Edinburgh garden.

The walling serves two purposes: it provides the visual interest as well as the practical work of holding up the ground behind. The combination of straight-lines and subtle curves help to soften the impact of the mass of stone, and the stone was chosen as a good colour match for the house and paving slabs.
