Projects

Scottish Wildlife Trust – Grangemouth

This fun wee project involved building a stone facing wall around a raised pond.

The brief was to create an “up-cycled” wall using a range of materials, with a focus on providing a fun place for the kids who come to check out the newts and other pond life.

So we used reclaimed building stone for most of the build but we incorporated whinstone from an old field dyke, a chimney pot, a large concrete pipe, bits of slate, cobbles, old bricks and basically anything else that came to hand! We even used bottles, old cement-filled boots and wellingtons! And of course, lashings of Devil’s Cream…

Thanks to Callum Gray from Keltie Landscapes for the help with building, the loan of the mixer and pick-up for getting some of the stone.
