The Blobs

I was back in West Lothian working for two of my favourite clients, this time to build three stone planters in their back garden.

In 2010 Andrew Black and I had built this free-standing dry stone wall around their front garden.

Boundary Wall

In January 2015, I was asked back to build these planters. I called them the Blobs – the clients called them sausages. Whatever.

The stone turned out to be huge; the weather was extremely cold for long periods and building methods were adapted. We had lots of interesting and fun conversations and the coffee and bacon rolls were good. In end it all happened and the finished product looked great!
