Western New York – dry stone retaining wall and steps

I was lucky enough to have my first foray to North America this year to build a stone wall. The client had found me on my Facebook page and we’d been in discussion about possibilities for a couple of years.  Various design thoughts, timetables and other factors went too and fro, and we finally got things done this autumn.

The stone is from an old warehouse – an unusual building for the area given the preponderance of wooden buildings. The boulders were found on the property. The cat in the pictures was a regular visitor to check on progress.
