Project Description

This was probably the most awkward space I’ve had to work in. A small front garden of a Glasgow stone-built tenement measuring 7m by 5m. In that space I had to build a seating area, paving and two terraces. The design was fairly fluid too and it took a lot of discussions between me and the client to agree on the final build. To make matters even harder, all the materials were placed on the opposite side of the entrance path in the adjacent small garden space. Every stone, paving slab and bit of material had to be hand-carried over the gap.
