Project Description

I am a dry stone waller and don’t really “do” mortared walls. In fact I frequently use the term “Devil’s Cream” when talking about cement. I like just using stone to build with: using mortar requires sand, cement, water, a mixer, dry weather. Faff basically.

Sometimes though, you just got to go with the flow. It’s what the client wanted and I needed the work!

I spent a couple of months in the Summer of 2015 building a large section of retaining wall, facing the block-work behind. It was pretty straight-forward work, the stone was good and the finished job looked alright.
